Rated 5 out of 5 by from Planetarium Star Projector It was a gift for a neighbor so there is not a lot I can say. His mom stopped me the other day and said her son absolutely loves it. He especially likes the stars as they show up on the ceiling in his bedroom. They give it an A+ recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas gift I’m sure this toy is an amazing product. I purchased it for my nephew for Christmas 202. It hasn’t been given to him as a gift yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incorrect instructions/Terrible design The video included in the description was more helpful than the printed instructions, but both are incorrect nonetheless. The dome is made from paper that is quite difficult to work with. Mounting the base of the dome is very difficult as the tabs are not cut well and don't allow for the fact that they will need to go over a dowel rod and the cardboard separates easily, which weakens it. Once the thing almost finished following the instructions, completing the last step is impossible because the dome turns out to be too big to attach the tabs to secure it to the rest of the structure. After inspecting the photo on the box, it seemed that we needed to use the smaller circle that appears to be intended for the recycle bin to build the dome and then place the larger circle around the outside before attaching the tabs as the final step. Once it was put together correctly with modifications, the dome is just OK. There is nothing special about it. I wish I could have given 0 stars. That's really what this thing earned. So disappointed in Discovery for this product. I expected more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A neat, hands on toy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great hands-on activity--it's DIY from beginning to end (you have to poke holes for the stars). Toy is for 6+, but assembly wasn't the easiest for our 7 year-old. Depending on your kiddo, adult assistance may be required. She enjoyed putting it together and loves having it on at night in her room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Many pieces [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like Discovery’s Mindblown - Toy DIY Planetarium Star Projector. There are many parts to this projector but that’s the lure of it being a Discovery toy. It definitely is for the older kids. I would recommend this item for the young astrologist or engineer. Really great project to keep them busy and educated in a fun way.
