You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.

Turn your water-based markers into watercolors when crafting this summer scene, then make dimensional pieces to bring your canvas to life.

Print Project

Step 1

Draw your background scene onto a canvas panel using water-based markers.

Step 2

Wet your paintbrush and blend the marker on the canvas. Set aside to dry.

Step 3

Click here to download and print the template; then cut out the pieces.

Step 4

Trace each piece onto construction paper.
TIP: You will need five of the larger circles for the sun and five of the smaller circles for the beach ball.

Step 5

Fold the umbrella pieces as indicated on the template, then fill in the stripes with markers. Fold each of the circles in half, then attach them back to back using a glue stick.

Step 6

Use liquid glue to adhere the umbrella, sun and beach ball to the canvas. Add any further details using markers.
