Color runs
I purchased this jute to add to my large collection of jute, twine, hemp & paracord that is used for making cat toys. I donate them to our local Humane Society, for the cats plus I donate inventory for them to sell(100% of proceeds go to the humane society). I use all natural, organic and non toxic materials as I would not give my 7 cats anything that's potentially harmful. Unfortunately this black jute has left a large black stain on my finger after making only 2 4ft braids that only contained 1 4ft piece of black jute. This is very unfortunate as I've already used it on multiple toys, w/no issues. It's very strong and it is 200ft. I'm going to cut a few feet off to run under water & check for run off. I will add to my review w/the results, along w/info on the dye used. This product states for beading, bracelet making but if you get caught in rain, use the pool etc you may have a black stained arm. Beware.

Poorly made
It is so uneven and yes I know jute comes that way but it was terribly off. It was also pieced together in knots in three places which was harder to use since I had to cut it and start over again on my project
