Not good quality
I ordered a box for pick-up and it was cracked from the corner. I went to a different Michael's to exchange the box and everything since box had a defect. I mean, there were like 8 boxes and every single one was cracked, scratched, or had some type of defect.

Cute box
Light wood. Hinge kinda marked. Problem was mainly with the handling of box. I searched through the ones at the store- about 8 boxes total & found one at the very top with dust. The wood looked less dented than the others. When I Went to pay for it, I noticed the hinge was kinda broken but the worker gave an extra 10% discount.

The box has excellent value. The outside looks like wood, yet its more like a light/thin fiberboard. Great size for cards. I bought this for my wedding. I am hopping to personalize it.

Great for the price
Just as a few of the reviews above have said, the quality of the "wood" is very thin- so I'll be extra careful when transporting it to my wedding venue. And the color of the "wood" is very dark, almost black. I'm hoping I'll be able to paint over it and lighten it up a bit, but it is still a great purchase for the price I paid.

BABY SHOWER ADVICE BOX
I love that it was easy to decorate for my baby shower. I was going crazy when i got it bc i was unsure qhat i would use it for but im seriously aatisifed with it and the fact my Ceicut helped me with decorations.
