Step 2 |
Cut out the star shapes from kraft cardstock and the triangular shapes from glitter cardstock. |
Step 3 |
Fold along all of the score lines on each star piece. Use hot glue to adhere the sides together on each point of the star. |
Step 4 |
Now, glue the bottoms together to assemble the star. |
Step 5 |
Glue the glitter triangular shapes to the front surfaces of the star. |
Step 6 |
Accordion fold the kraft strips along the score line. Glue the ends together to form a circle. Now, push the top down so it lays flat onto your working surface and glue the glitter scalloped circles in the center of each side. |
Step 7 |
Glue the scalloped circle book print paper on top of one glittered scalloped circle to make the front; then glue the back to the center of your star. |
Step 8 |
Pinch the tip point so it flats and punch a hole with the smaller hole punch on your Crop-a-dile®. Use your fingers to re-shape. Open a larger jump ring in the assortment, run it through the hole and close the jump ring. |
Step 9 |
To make the bead links, add a bead to an eye pin and bend the wire to a 90° angle just above the bead. Trim the wire to 3/8"-½" from the bend. Grasp the end of the eye pin wire between the jaws of a pair of round nose pliers. Rotate the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire until a small loop is formed. Make three then link them together. |
Step 10 |
Open the jump ring at the top of your star, slide the loop at one end of your bead link onto the jump ring and close the jump ring. |
Step 11 |
Finally, cut about 10" if metallic thread, thread through the top loop of your bead link and tie an overhand knot to form a hanger. Trim end of needed. |
