Crayola® Air-Dry Terra Cotta Clay, 2.5lb. is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Basically worthless The only thing this is good for is letting your children play with and then throwing away. Everything I made had cracks over more than half the surface making it useless for making anything.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expect Crayola Quality What can you expect? A mess. It says you can use water to make this a more pliable product. Child friendly. A much bigger mess. This does not clean up well. Beware. In the instance you’ve made it that far, expect your new creation to crumble to pieces when it SHOULD be dry. You do get what you pay for. Quite disappointing, even for the kids. It’s definitely sparked an interest and we will move on to better products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great texture, easy to work with, but STAINS I was very impressed. I wanted to do some basic art pieces and I was having trouble getting a hold of some inexpensive artist's clay so decided to give this a whirl. The white was out, and I figured the terracotta colour would work well with my project. The clay was soft out of the container, was easy to work with, we have yet to see how it dries but so far pretty happy!! (for those complaining about cracking, try slowing the dry time by covering your piece with a damp towel or in a cool moist environment) Only problem is the colour gets on EVERYTHING. My white ikea table top is stained and I barely got away with not getting it on anything else. And this is coming from an adult!! I can't imagine what it would be like with children. Anyway, happy with this inexpensive clay option but I do hope the white stuff is available for my next project.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product does exactly what it’s supposed to The clay will leave color on your hands but mostly comes off very easily

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this for my son's social studies project (ancient temple). Everything was fine and it looked great until the next day when it developed several large and small cracks. I looked online for suggestions to fix (found none on Crayola's site) and saw that adding too much water could cause cracking. But he really didn't add much water at all - just a few drops for the entire project (half the bucket). Despite water being named as a cause, we followed instructions to create slip using water to fix. But within a day, more cracks appeared. He worked so hard on this project, but was embarrassed to turn it in. What a disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracks with age At the time that I purchased and used it 6 years ago for my elderly dog's pawprint, it seemed like a great product with a deep impression of her paw. Over time the clay has cracked and there are crystals in the cracks. It's rather disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I'm a slime person so when I make butter slime I all ways use air dry cost and it works perfectly. You can also use it for all kinds of stuff which is cool. I love the concept that it molds and hardens with air
