Simple wood craft sticks are a great way to make plant markers for your flowers, herbs and vegetable gardens. Simple letter stickers make a mask for your words and you can paint the sticks any way you’d like.

Print Project

Step 1

On a jumbo craft stick, use letter stickers to spell out the name of your herbs, flowers or vegetables. Be sure to rub your fingers over the stickers to burnish.

Step 2

At the end of the word, apply the painter’s tape at an angle to tape off the rest of the stick and create a nice crisp line.

Step 3

Paint over the letters. When the paint is partially dry, carefully remove the sticker letters.
TIP: Use the Cricut® weeding tool or the tip of a craft knife to remove the letters.

Step 4

If desired, you can repeat Steps 1-3 for the other side of the stick.

Step 5

Seal the sticks using outdoor Mod Podge®. Let dry.
