Good, but beware
On the plus side, the panels are a great size and cut to the exact measurements as advertised. The wood is pretty smooth, although I give them a light sanding before mounting photos to them.
A common big problem though is that these are shrink-wrapped so tight by the manufacturer that the front corners bend. I've bought two 8x10 sets where at least 3 panels have been damaged in that manner.
I'd recommend checking the edges carefully in store (although it's not always clear through the wrapping) before purchasing.

Great wood
The wood is smooth, I still lightly sand it for my wood burning projects and my designs comes out smooth. I also stain the wood different colors and they come out beautifully.

Great for pouring
I like these for paint pouring, as the surface is smoother than stretched canvas, so you're more likely to get a smooth, finished surface, and the wood doesn't sag like canvas. I used the 8x8" panels. I sanded them down a little big first, and taped the edges and back. The only downside is they are more expensive than canvas.

I found that most of the panels are great, once in a while one that's chipped but still very usable. I paint on them all the time....just check them in store for warped panel..

Love love these!
I love these because you are able to do your art on either side of it. One side gives a framed look and the other is just solid. The craftsmanship is great and you don't see a lot of glue like I've seen with other brand products. Highly recommend!
