Christmas Tree Hats
Bought these in my local Michaels to use to make Christmas tree hats for my great nieces and nephews. There were perfect, very festive. Only problem could not find enough of then even going two other Michaels, so had to make do with other beads, that were just ok.

Really attractive plastic crackle beads
These are really eye-catching beads; I'd have probably bought them without even having an immediate use for them, they're so pretty. What I wanted them for is the old hand/eye coordination game of "ball in a cup." I took a small length of 1" by 1" basswood, drilled out a half-size indentation perhaps 1/4" from one end, tied a foot or so length of cord through the ball and to the end of the wood, then let the kids play with it. They hold the basswood in one hand and jerk it so that the ball goes up- in the air and then falls into the indentation. It's a challenge - a lot harder than it sounds! Michael's has everything you'll need! With all the different colors of these beads, everyone can easily tell which one is his/hers.
