Create a holiday nutcracker to fit your home décor and decorating style.

Print Project

Step 1

Paint the entire nutcracker with white paint for a basecoat. Let dry.

Step 2

Paint the main areas as desired. It will take several coats of paint for a full, opaque coverage. Let dry between coats.

Step 3

Brush glue onto the areas where you would like to add glitter. Sprinkle glitter onto the wet glue and let dry; then shake off excess.

Step 4

Paint on the facial details and let dry.

Step 5

Cut out pieces of yarn for the hair and beard. Brush the yarn out to make it looks like hair with a comb (or fork). Hot glue the brushed-out yarn to the nutcracker.

Step 6

Now add details to your nutcracker's uniform with ribbons. Cut to desired length and use hot glue to attach.
