Personalise a holiday nutcracker to fit your home décor and decorating style. Use paint, glitter and fake fur to customise the wood piece.

Print Project

Step 1

Paint a solid coat of white over the entire nutcracker to seal the wood. Let dry.

Step 2

Paint the main areas of your nutcracker. Let dry.
TIP: It will take several coats of paint for full coverage. Remember to let the paint completely dry between coats of paint.

Step 3

Now, add glitter. Paint on a coat of Mod Podge® where you would like to add some sparkle, sprinkle glitter over the wet area and shake off excess. Let dry.

Step 4

Accessorize your nutcracker with fur, pom-poms and ribbon. Attach with hot glue.

Step 5

Finally, paint your nutcracker's face and let dry.
