Step 1 |
First, click here to download and print the template for your envelope, flowers and leaves; then cut out the shapes. |
Step 2 |
Trace the envelope, flowers and leaves onto a combination of papers. Cut out the shapes. |
Step 3 |
|
Step 4 |
Fold the other flaps in and glue them to one another to create the envelope. |
Step 5 |
Take the longer rectangular strip and make a fold approximately ¼" [.64 cm] in from each end and another fold approximately ½" [1.27 cm] in from each end. Now, take one end of the strip and glue the bottom of the folded ¼" [.64 cm] section to the envelope at the fold of the large flap, about 2" [5.1 cm] in from the right side. Glue the bottom of the other ¼" [.64 cm] section of the strip to the envelope flap, so that the strip creates a 3D rectangle vertically across the inside flap of the envelope. Let dry. |
Step 6 |
Take the shorter rectangular strip and make a fold approximately ¼" [.64 cm] in from each end and another fold approximately ½" [1.27 cm] in from each end. Glue the ends together to create a 3D square. Glue the bottom of the square to the envelope about 2" [5.1 cm] in from the left side vertically across the inside flap of the envelope. Let dry. |
Step 7 |
Use an embossing pen to draw accents on your flower and leaves. Cover the accents with embossing powder and apply the heat gun to get the shiny metallic raised effect. |
Step 8 |
Glue the red berries to the branches. Let dry. |
Step 9 |
Glue flowers and leaves to the 3D rectangles to create a pop-up effect. Let dry. |
Step 10 |
Glue the rest of the flowers and leaves to the inside of the envelope to create the desired composition. Let dry. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
