Make throw pillows to match your holiday décor this year! Mix patterns with matte and glitter HTV materials when cutting your design!

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™.

Step 2

Size the design as you would like it to appear on your pillowcase(s).
TIP: If desired, create your own design!

Step 3

Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 4

In your preview screen, check ‘Mirror’ in the left panel for each matte, glitter and/or foil mat layers, to reverse your image. Do not reverse the design for anything you want to cut from the pattern HTV.

Step 5

Now, click ‘Continue’ in the bottom right corner of your screen and choose the correct material.

Step 6

Place the iron-on material onto your cutting mat, load it into your Cricut® machine, then press the blinking Cricut® icon to start cutting.

Step 7

Repeat Step 6 with remaining layers.
TIP: When cutting with multiple material types, such as matte, glitter and/or foil, be sure to watch the preview panel to update the material type so your machine knows how to cut each layer.

Step 8

Use scissors to cut the design from each iron-on material roll. Next, use your weeder tool to remove all the excess material around and inside your design. You’ll be left with just the reversed design on the clear plastic carrier sheets, which are slightly sticky.
TIP: For the pattern HTV, follow the instructions included in the packaging to weed and prepare the material for pressing.

Step 9

If needed, remove the insert from the pillowcase(s).

Step 10

See instructions included with your heat press to attach your design to your shirt.
TIP: Press each layer, one at a time, starting with the bottom layer. For this design, first press the white layer. Next line up the Powder Blue layer over the white and finally, the Silver glitter layer.

Step 11

If your material is the warm peel type, you may go ahead and peel off the carrier sheet. If your material is a cool peel type, let it cool completely before removing the carrier sheet.

Step 12

Return, or insert, your pillows inside the pillowcase(s).
