Step 1 |
Lay the rough watercolour sheet on your working surface and brush water over it with a large brush until the sheet is damp. |
Step 2 |
Place a little of each paint colour on a paper plate (or palette paper) and use water to thin the colours. |
Step 3 |
Load a paintbrush with watered down paint and spread it across the paper horizontally. Start at the top with a very pale grey and slowly add a watered down Phthalo Blue at the bottom of the paper. |
Step 4 |
Add bolder accents of Phthalo Blue and Old Gold to represent a sunset, water and sky. Use image as a guide. |
Step 5 |
Once the artwork is dry, lay your open frame on top of your artwork and determine the area you like best. Mark the area to cut with a pencil. |
Step 6 |
Using a craft knife, cut the artwork to the size of the frame opening and then frame the artwork. |
