SPECIAL STITCH(ES) EXPLANATION(S):
- Hhdc (Herringbone Half Double Crochet): Yoh and draw up a loop in next stitch and through first loop on hook. Yoh and draw through last two loops on hook – one Herringbone Half Double Crochet made.
- Scbl2tog (Single Crochet In Back Loop 2 Together): Working in back loops only, draw up a loop in each of next 2 stitches. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook.
- Sc2tog  (Single Crochet 2 Together): Draw up a loop into side and of next st. Draw up a loop into back loop only of stitch just worked.  Yoh and draw through all loops on hook.
NOTES:
- To begin working with the O’Go™ format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O’Go™ meet.
- Pull tie to remove.​
- Ch 2 at beg of row does not count as st.
- To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook of first colour. Draw new colour through last 2 loops and proceed in next color.
- Cardigan is worked in patchwork squares joined together as shown in diagrams for back, fronts and sleeves.
- Ribbing, button bands and collar are worked during finishing.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Single Crochet Squares (make 5 with E and 3 with G)
Ch 19 (21-23-27).
Row 1: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 18 (20-22-26) sc.
Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep Row 2 row until work from beg measures 5½ (6-6½-6½)” [14 (15-16.5-16.5) cm]. Fasten off.
Herringbone Half-Double Crochet Squares (make 5 each with C and D, and 4 with I).
Ch 20 (22-24-28).
Row 1: (RS). 1 hhdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hhdc in each ch to end of row. Turn. 18 (20-22-26) sts.
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 hhdc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep Row 2 row until work from beg measures 5½ (6-6½-6½)” [14 (15-16.5-16.5) cm]. Fasten off.
Moss Stitch Squares (make 6 using J as Color 1 and G as Color 2. Make 4 using A as Color 1 and I as Color 2).
Stripe Pat:
With Color 1, work 2 rows.
With Color 2, work 2 rows.
These 4 rows form Stripe Pat.
With Color 1, ch 20 (22-24-28).

Set Up Row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end of ch. Turn. 19 (21-23-27) sts (sc and ch-1).
First row of Stripe Pat is complete.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, proceed as follows:
Row 1: (WS). Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sts. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 5½ (6-6½-6½)” [14 (15-16.5-16.5) cm]. Fasten off.
Textured Squares (make 3 with J and 5 with F).
Ch 19 (21-23-27).
Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 dc in next ch. *1 sc in next ch. 1 dc in next ch. Rep from * to end of chain. Turn. 18 (20-22-26) sts.
Row 2: Ch 1. *1 sc in next st. 1 dc in next st. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Rep Row 2 until work from beg measures 5½ (6-6½-6½)” [14 (15-16.5-16.5) cm]. Fasten off.
Ribbing Squares (Make 5 each in B and H.)
Ch 20 (22-24-28).
Row 1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 18 (20-22-26) sts.
Row 2: Ch 2. *Work 1 hdc in horizontal bar created below st in prev row (bar is below loops normally worked on WS. See diagram). Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Rep Row 2 until work from beg measures 5½ (6-6½-6½)” [14 (15-16.5-16.5) cm]. Fasten off.

Finishing
Using assembly diagram, sew Motifs tog with WS facing tog, using mattress stitch.
With WS facing, sew shoulder seams, leaving 10 (11-12-12)” [25.5 (28-30.5-30.5) cm] open at center back/front openings.
Place markers at sides of Fronts and Back for Sleeves 8¼ (9¼-10½-12)” [21 (23.5-25.5-30.5) cm] from shoulders. Sew in sleeves between markers.
Cuff Ribbing
With A, ch 11.
Row 1: 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sl st in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 10 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until Cuff Ribbing measures length to fit around Cuff, when slightly stretched, sewing in place as you work. Sew last row and 1st row of ribbing tog. Fasten off.
Bottom Ribbing
With F, ch 15.
1st Row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 14 sc.
2nd Row: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until Bottom Ribbing measures length to fit around Cardigan, when slightly stretched, sewing in place as you work. Fasten off.
Button Band
With F, ch 10.
1st Row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 9 sc.
2nd Row: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until Button Band measures 24 (26-28-28)” [61 (66-71-71) cm]. Fasten off. Sew to Left Front.

Buttonhole Band
With B, ch 9.
Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 8 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from beg measures 1” [2.5 cm].
**Buttonhole Row: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of first 3 sts. Ch 2. Skip next 3 sts. 1 sc in each of last 3 sts. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each of first 3 sts. 3 sc in next ch-2 sp. 1 scbl in each of last 3 sts. Turn.
Next Row: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.***
Rep last row until work from last buttonhole measures 5½ (6-5¼-5¼)” [14 (15-13.5-13.5) cm].** Rep from ** to ** 3 (3-4-4) times more, ending last rep at ***.
Cont even until work from last buttonhole measures 1” [2.5 cm].
Sew to Right Front.
Sew buttons onto Button Band to correspond with buttonholes.
Collar
Place marker 6” [15 cm] from top of Left Front corner along neck edge.
With B, ch 23.
Shape Left Lapel:
Row 1: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 22 sts.
Rows 2 to 4: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 1. 1 scbl in first st. Scbl2tog. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn. 21 sts.
Row 6: As Row 2.
Rows 7 to 16: Rep Rows 5 and 6 – 5 times more. 16 sc. Place marker at end of row.

Work in short rows as follows:
Row 1: (RS). Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rows 2 and 3: As Row 1.
Row 4: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each of next 12 sts. Turn, leaving rem sts unworked.
Row 5: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each of first 12 sts. Turn.
Row 6: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each of next 12 sts. Scbl2tog. 1 sc in each of last 3 sts, Turn.
Rep these 6 rows for short row pat until Collar measures length to fit from top of Right Front corner around Neck, when slightly stretched, to marker. Beg at top of Right Front corner sew in place as you work, ending on a RS row.
Shape Right Lapel
Row 1: (WS). Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to last 3 sts. 2 scbl in next st. 1 scbl in last st. Turn. 17 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1. 1 scbl in each st to end of row. Turn. 
Rows 3 to 12: Rep Rows 1 and 2 – 5 times more. 22 sts.
Rows 13 to 16: As Row 2.
Fasten off.
