The cotton yarn I bought at my local Michael's store in Westminster will be a welcome addition to the crocheted blankets for babies of friends and family. Cotton Yarn is great for making washcloths, and I can also see it as a staple for making drying cloths for the little ones as well. I first got the idea when a friend, who has a daughter-in-law in Hawaii said she couldn't accept blankets because it was very hot where she lived. Blankets - no; Washcloths - YES.

Yarn cut and tied inside

This 100% cotton yarn is the best for making pot holders and oven mittens. It's thick enough to protect from burns and I double it for a thick, easy to hold, and long lasting pot holder. And just throw them in the wash over and over and they last forever. It also makes warm and comfy beanies.
