You may be able to slip them on without tools, or maybe only a pair of pliers to make it even easier. They can be just as easily removed and used again and again. A real boon to plien air painters who may want to show a work on site to a prospective client. And the price is just as easy on the pocketbook.

The idea of these is good, and I suppose the metal has to be pliable enough to get around the corner and get the spikes into the frame, but the metal feels kind of thin. You must measure the width of the frame that the canvas is on and it should be 1 1/2 - 1 5/8 wide for these to work for you. There is a YouTube video which shows how to insert them, just google for it. We had to pound with a small, soft hammer to get the metal down flat. We did two on top and two on the bottom of each painting. They seem like they’ll hold.
