It takes well to prismacolor colored pencils and white charcoal.

Cost effective and versatile
The best option I've found for a black paper notebook. Enough tooth for my softer mediums while still extremely nice with options like colored pencils. I can pull off watercolor pencils if I'm careful.
Absolutely wonderful with charcoal techniques, some of my favorite pieces have been produced on this in soft pastels. Highly recommend.

I used this for acrylic paint
I used this for acrylic paint since I'm a beginner and black canvas is expensive this is my alternative. It absorb to much of paint it made the the black paper visible after paint. So what I did I used astist loft level 1 acrylic paint to prime it first in any color as a background. Two coats and make it dry. After that I paint my landscape and didn't absorb no More much of paint. So can be use for acrylic but prime it first not gesso but regular acrylic paint. Then it does wrinkle but wait until dry it goes back to shape. Save tons of money buying canvas is expensive. Good for begginer acrylic painter.

Great choice for a black paged sketchbook
The paper is of nice quality and it feels good to sketch on. Final product shows up a bit light if you work in pencil, but still clearly visible. Not the best if you work with opac markers such as copics, but the ink will still tint the page slightly. Works AMAZING with metallics and gel pens. If you know about the drawbacks of black paper and are willing to work with them, it's a great product. Wouldn't use it as my everyday sketchbook, but is still high quality and fun to use for certain projects. All of the drawbacks aren't really because of the product itself, but are just the drawbacks of any black drawing paper, so I can't really complain. Just know what you're getting into first.
