Cake lifter is a cake saver.
It was super helpful for lifting a cake when making a triple decker. Before I was using a larger spatula and it usually dug a little of the cake but this tool is phenomenal.

A well-made and useful cake tool.
This cake lift saved me when I decided to make a 3-layer birthday cake. Not only did it help me lift the cake onto the final presentation plate but it also was a terrific scraper that helped me even the side when spinning the cake. I had made a bit too little icing in one of the shades I was using and was short on time. So, I used the lift to create a scraped effect by spinning the cake and blending the 3 shades along the sides. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. It would have taken much more work and time to get it done with a palette knife. This is a solid piece - not flimsy - that I am glad I bought.
