First, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™.
TIP: If you want to make any changes to the design, click ‘Customize’ and it will move the design into your canvas. Use the edit tools in the tool bar and then click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Click ‘Continue’ in the lower right corner of your screen.

Place the first cardstock for your first layer onto your cutting mat, select the appropriate material and load your mat into your Cricut® machine.
TIP: See below for the cardstock legend used in this project.

Unload your mat and gently remove the cardstock. Remove any pieces left around or within the cutout and discard. Add your next mat layer, as indicated in the review panel on the left of your screen, re-load the mat and click the blinking icon. Repeat for each layer.

"Set the smallest butterfly aside."

Fold all score lines.

Use a glue stick to attach the remaining Gold butterfly and bright pink flower to the front of your card.

Open the card and attach the scored light pink rectangle evenly to the right side and the other light pink rectangle to the left side. Set the card base aside.
TIP: For the scored rectangle, run the glue stick around the outer edge of the three scored sides. Leave the outside edge (facing to the right) unglued.

Attach the Gold foil butterfly wing shapes to both sides of the wings, as shown.
TIP: Make sure the cut notches align.

Slide the notch closest to one wing into the same notch of the other wing to attach they are attached. Slide the butterfly body into the second notch.

Glue the tabs on each flower piece to the back of the last petal of each size to close the circle.
TIP: You will have three circle flower layers in varying sizes.

Tuck the inner tabs in the middle of the largest flower layer into the outer slits in the aqua leaf piece.

Repeat Step 12 for the middle size in the next set of slits and then the smaller size in the second to last set of slits.

Flip over the leaf piece and glue the tabs down to secure.

Slide the tabs of the butterfly through the last, inner-most, set of slits. Turnover and glue tabs down to secure.

Glue the aqua leaf piece inside the card. Be sure to line up the fold of the leaf piece with the fold of the card.

Assemble the envelope and attach the smallest butterfly in the right front corner.

Write a note, tuck it into the right inside pocket of the card and insert the card into the envelope. Use the twine to close the envelope.
TIP: If you plane to mail the card, be sure to glue the envelope closed as well.
