bright shell bracelet stack

No matter the time of year, you can always have a little of the beach with you with this Bright Shell Stretch Bracelet Stack! See below for the instructions to learn how to make this super cute easy DIY!
Step 1

Cut 10" of stretch cord for each stretch bracelet you want to make.
TIP: This is for a 7" bracelet when finished. If you need a longer length, adjust as needed.

Step 2

Add a bead bug to one end of a stretch cord.
TIP: This is a great tool to use when stringing beads to keep them from falling off the cord. You can also use tape or even a binder clip if a bead bug isn’t available.

Step 3

Add your beads as desired.

Step 4

Tie the ends together in an overhand knot and then a surgeon’s knot, Add a dab of glue to the knot. Let dry.
TIP: To make a surgeon’s knot, perform the actions of an overhand knot, but before you pull it tight, wrap the tail around a second time, then pull tight.

Step 5

Tuck the ends into about three adjacent beads and trim excess cord.

Step 6

Repeat Steps 2-5 for each stretch bracelet in your stack.
Tip: In a well-ventilated area, spray a Puka shell and let dry. Repeat for a second coat if needed; then attach to a stretch bracelet with a jump ring.

Step 7

For the shell bracelet, cut a 48" piece of bright cording.

Step 8

Fold the cording in half a tie an overhand knot about 1" from the fold. Thread one side of the cording onto a collapsible needle and thread through the holes at the bottom of a Puka shell. Push the shell up against the knot and then run the other side of the cording across the top of the shell. Tie an overhand knot with both cording sides at the bottom of the shell.

Step 9
Repeat Step 8 with shells across the bracelet for about 7" or until the desired length is achieved for your wrist. Thread a bead from the craft bead mix onto each end of the cording, about 2" below the last knot at the bottom of the last shell and tie a knot.\
TIP: To wear, thread the;last beads added through the loop at the other end.
