Great frame
Great frame and the size I needed it is the actual size it says it is the picture fit perfect didn’t get 5 stars was a little hard to get the clips to push in the hold the back on , I got them in but it took alotvof muscle

A perfect find to show off our original art.
We were excited to find an ideal frame from the large selection of frames from Michaels of Indiana. We thought we'd have trouble finding a reasonably priced one that had an 11x14 inch image area and we'd be forced into a custom frame. The double black mat was perfect for the piece of artist-purchased original artwork. Assembly was super easy and everything was there. A bonus there is the slit cut on one side so you only have to "clip" three sides any more.
I also have a lot of custom framing done with them and it's always a treat to work with the educated staff.

Good for the price
Good quality frame, aside from a small almost unnoticeable scratch on the frame itself, the glass is spotless and the double matting is very neat. Installation of the photos was very easy.

Pretty and Practical
I love these frames! We have an autograph wall of the 8x10’s but a new one I had to get a larger size for. It actually works PERFECT horizontally between the smaller vertical ones. The variety of sizes are great, and the clean sleek double mat adds a very professional look.

Fantastic frame with double mat!
Great frame and at a great price is what I was looking so I purchased this frame for one of my watercolors. Luckily it came with a beautiful double black mat! It looked so good at my art show that I immediately got offers on it! Hope they carry more of this frame because I am going back for more!

Double Mat Fails - 16x20 Gallery Look
This is a 16x20 double black matted thin black gallery style frame. The 2 layers of matting are separated by spacers that make the mats look 2 dimensional. The problem is the spacers are too far apart and the mat sags, it does not lay uniformly layered. The dips in the upper mat cause a warped appearance distorting the layering. In addition, the matting is thin and this may be the cause. However, from a distance if the right photograph is used it detracts from noticing this defect. The design concept is great the execution is a fail because of the quality of materials.

Great For the Gallery!
I use these for my gallery. That is, I have a wall for all of my championship certificates for my pooches! This along with their portraits and pictures -- all framed in various sizes that are always available at Michaels. They look great!

Understated Classy Look for a Reasonable Price
These pre-matted Black Gallery Wall Frames were the perfect solution for framing our city's local artist sketches! Since they were black and white renderings of our beautiful skyline, we wanted understated frames that would not overpower and diminish the artwork. Additionally, the subtle matting allowed for a level above the simple, underwhelming black frame, which is how we purchased them. They added a simple, yet elegant look to the artist's work and blended well with the pieces already framed and hung in our room. Simple, Smart Black Frame
I like the simplicity of this frame but wish it had a different baking? When I am in a pinch for time framing this is a great option at a reasonable price.
One attribute that is really useful is d-rings pre-installed for both horizontal or vertical hanging.

Beautiful frame with 2 mats
Bought this frame to frame a print I bought from a photographer friend of mine. He lives in New York and had photographed the flat iron building, which is a building I love. This frame, with the two black mats, really made the print pop. It’s a quality frame that looks amazing in my mid-century home. Would definitely buy again.
