Bernat® Blanket Double Take has all the cosy softness of Bernat® Blanket™ you've come to love, but with an interesting two tone colour effect! This knit blanket, worked in a simple seed stitch texture, plays with the shades to create a striking marled stripe effect.

Print Project

Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx 50 x 60” [127 x 152.5 cm].
GAUGE: 7 sts and 14 rows = 4” [10 cm] in seed stitch. Take time to check your gauge.
NOTE: This Seed Stitch Stripes Blanket is also featured in Bernat® Blanket Double yarn made with the following colours:
- 4 Balls - Grey Storm (10596576)
- 4 Balls - Blushing (10569573)
- 4 Balls - Warm Cream (10596571)

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: Carry colour not in use loosely up side of work.
With A, cast on 87 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
Row 1: (RS). K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last row for Seed St Pat.
Cont in Seed st Pat until work from beg measures 12” [30.5 cm], ending on a WS row.
Next 2 Rows: With B, K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Next 2 Rows: With A, K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 4 rows until work from beg measures 24” [61 cm] ending on a 2nd row of A. Break A.
With B, cont in Seed St Pat until work from beg measures 36” [91.5 cm] ending on a WS row.
Next 2 Rows: With C, K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Next 2 Rows: With B, K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 4 rows until work from beg measures 48” [122 cm] ending on a 2nd row of B. Break B.
With C, cont in Seed St Pat until work from beg measures 60” [152.5 cm] ending on a WS row.
Cast off in pat.
Tassels (Make 2 with A, and 2 with C) Cut a piece of cardboard 7" [18 cm] wide. Wind yarn around cardboard 60 times. Break yarn leaving a long end and thread end through needle. Slip needle through all loops and tie tightly. Remove cardboard and wind yarn tightly around loops 2" [5 cm] below fold. Fasten securely. Cut through rem loops and trim ends evenly. Sew one tassel to each corner of Blanket, matching colours.
