Print Project

Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENT: Approx 20" [51 cm] square, excluding loops

GAUGE: 2½ sts and 3½ rows = 4” [10 cm] in stocking st. Take time to check your gauge.


SPECIAL STITCHES:

- Knit Loop St = (Make loop). yf. Wind yarn around piece of cardboard 3” [7.5 cm] wide. yb. K1. Pass first st over just made stitch.

- Pick Up Loop St = (Make loop). yf. Wind yarn around piece of cardboard 3” [7.5 cm] wide. yb. Pick up and knit next stitch. Pass first st over just made stitch.

- Wrap St = (With yarn at back, slip next stitch onto right-hand needle. Bring yarn to front. Slip this stitch back onto left-hand needle, wrapping yarn counter clockwise around this stitch and bring to back) 5 times, ending yarn at last wrap last wrap yarn at back of work. Slip stitch back onto right-hand needle.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:

FRONT

Cast on 13 sts

Row 1: (RS). Knit.

Row 2: *P1. Purl next st, wrapping yarn twice around needle. Rep from * to last st. P1.

Row 3: *K1. Sl1wyib, dropping extra loop. Rep from * to last st. K1.

Row 4: P1. *Sl1wyif. Purl next st, wrapping yarn twice around needle. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Sl1wyif. P1.  

Row 5: K1. *Wrap st. Sl1wyib, dropping extra loop. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Wrap st. K1.

Row 6: P1. *Purl next st, wrapping yarn twice around needle. Sl1wyif. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Purl next st, wrapping yarn twice around needle. P1.

Row 7: K1. *Sl1wyib, dropping extra loop. Wrap st. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Sl1wyib, dropping extra loop. K1.

Rep Rows 4 to 7 until work from beg measures 19½” [49.5 cm], ending on a RS row.

Next Row: (WS). Purl.

Next Row: (Loop and Cast Off Row). *K1 with 1 strand. Knit Loop st. Rep from * to last st. (K1 with 1 strand. Knit Loop st) twice all in last st. Working down left side of pillow front, **(Pick up and knit 1 st. Pick up Loop St) 6 times. (K1. Pick up Loop st) twice all in corner st.** Working across cast on edge, rep from ** to **. Working up right side, rep from ** to **. Fasten off.

BACK

Cast on 13 sts

Beg on a knit row, work in stocking st until Back measures 20” [51 cm] ending on a purl row. Cast off.


FINISHING: With WS tog, sew 3 sides of Front and Back. Insert pillow form. Sew rem side closed.
