beaded coral woven earrings
Step 1 |
Measure and cut about 36" [91.44 cm] of nylon cord. Fold in half to find the centre point. |
Step 2 |
Thread two size connector rings onto one end of the cord and slide them down to the fold at the centre. |
Step 3 |
Arrange the rings so the smaller one is inside the larger one and aligned so they are touching in one place, which will be the top of your earring. |
Step 4 |
Take the cord on the right side, weave it over the top of the right ring, then thread it through the middle of the rings and arrange so it is coming out through the left side. Now, take the cord on the left side, weave it over the top of the left ring, then thread it through the middle of the rings and arrange so it is coming out through the right side. Pull the crisscrossed cord tight. |
Step 5 |
Repeat Step 4 until cord is woven all the way around the rings. Add a bead as desired while you weave. |
Step 6 |
Tie the ends in a knot on the back. Trim the ends and carefully use a lighter to melt the ends to secure. |
Step 7 |
Carefully open the loop at the end of a fishhook earring, just enough to slide around the top ring, then close the loop. |
Step 8 |
Repeat for a second earring. |
