I am new to bead weaving and decided to try WildFire after becoming frustrated with nylon cord fraying and staying 'wavy' from being on small spool (treating with wax did help but only a little). I like using this thread a lot however it is nearly impossible to cut cleanly even with sharp scissors, so I purchased a cord melter/cutter. I found it a little disappointing when using black thread because when you cut/melt it, you can see a bit of the white filament, especially when you are using dark colored beads. I end up using a permanent black marker to color the exposed ends and did my best to hide or tuck-in ends. Again, I am relatively new to bead weaving so there may be some tips and tricks to address this issue... but part of me feels like you shouldn't have to use tips or tricks - cut it and be done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice threat for jewelry making I was unfamiliar with this thread for bead weaving. In the past I always used thin stretch type plastic thread. Have to admit, it left a lot to be desired. I had a lot of problems with the stretch plastic giving way and all my hard work scatter everywhere. This thread is actually easier to use and creates a more secure work.
