Unlike aluminum and clad copperwire it is solid colored throughout so cut ends are not showing a different color core. Good and cheaper substitute when real gold is not a viable solution.

I use the 24 ga. wire for mounting small items in shadow boxes so they stand out away from the foam board backing. I just poke the wire through, bend it over, and tape it on the back. It works perfectly.
