To use, select 24-gauge sheet metal or metal blanks in an assortment of shapes and place on the dapping block. Create a hammered look on sheet metal by hammering metal repeatedly with the round side of a ball peen or chasing hammer. Hammer dapping punches with the flat side of a hammer to create decorative designs on the surface of the metal.

I had a piece of steel, but it was very loud. Now I have the Steel Bench Block and now the flattening of the pieces I have to work on is quieter and more accurate.
