bead knot layered necklace
| Step 1 |
Unravel the silk cord from the card. |
| Step 2 |
Tie the end to a 4mm jump ring and add a dab of glue to the knot. Let dry and trim excess cord. |
| Step 3 |
Use the attached needle to add about 14 shell beads and the knotter tool to add knots in between each bead. |
| Step 4 |
After the 14th bead, tie on a 4mm jump ring and trim from the cord length. |
| Step 5 |
Remove two sets of two links from the Figaro chain. Use the jump rings on each end of the beaded shell cord to attach a two-link piece to each end. Set aside. |
| Step 6 |
Remove a 16" [40.6 cm] section from the Figaro chain. Add a 4mm jump ring to each end. Set aside. |
| Step 7 |
Cut one beaded chain down to 16" [40.6 cm]. Add the rectangular tag charm to the chain, then a 4mm jump ring to each end of the chain. Set aside. |
| Step 8 |
Cut one beaded chain down to 17" [43.2 cm]. Add the circle charm to the chain, then a 4mm jump ring to each end of the chain. |
| Step 9 |
To assemble the necklace, open a 6mm jump ring and add the 4mm jump ring from one end of each layer and close the jump ring. |
| Step 10 |
Finally, open a 6mm jump rig, add a clasp as well as the 4mm jump ring on the other end of each layer; then close the jump ring. |
