Completely opaque, hardly red
As the other description says- these beads are basically black. If you’re going for the look of real garnet, these unfortunately aren’t the way to go.

Did not match description, or meet expectations.
These garnet beads are HEAVILY dyed. Neither the online description, nor the packaging elude to this at all. When I received them, I thought they had sent me the wrong item, as they are almost black. One of the best properties of natural garnet is that is is translucent, which shows off the beauty of the natural crimson colored stone. These beads are completely opaque. I held these directly over an LED light, and could not see ANY light shining through.
If you're looking for an opaque, almost black bead, save your money and buy ceramic or plastic. These are a terribly quality "natural" stone.
