One of my frames arrived already broken
One of the frames was already broken on the front when I unwrapped it. The backs of the frames are also flimsy and damage easily when closing after inserting your photo.

Very nice frames!
Thought it would be difficult to find 8 x 8 frames for prints I had purchased. I needed three and these came in a 4 pack and they were perfect. Nothing cheap looking about them. You won't go wrong with these.

4 1/2 x 4 1/2
The actual photo hole is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. May not be an issue for some, but just thought I would put it out there. I have to return, it cuts off too much of my photo... Also, the matte is just paper thin, so no depth, and the corners where the frame meets together are not tight. These are inexpensive so I was not expecting a whole lot, but they did not work for me.

8 X 8 matted frames
I have been using these 8 X 8 frames for years. I sell my watercolor prints using these frames in several gallerys. I have gone from the first type using the sawtooth hangers, to the new updated hangers. Now the frames have changed again and FOR THE BETTER! The quality is much nicer and you can either hang these frames using a small nail or use the easel back for table top. In the past, I had many issues with scratched glass and corners that weren't meitered correctly. These new type of 8 X 8 frames are light years ahead of the old ones. Hope Michaels keeps buying from the same manufacturer!

white frames w/glass
After purchasing this set of 4 frames, I opened the set up in front of the cashier. The previous set of 4 that I had bought, one of the frames in the middle - the glass was shattered. Found this out when I got home. Not sure how to go about returning this because Michael's does not carry these individually. I will in the future need more and will be opening them up in store before leaving.

Gets the job done
Picked these up at my local Michael's as they are the only frames I could find in-store that would fit my 7x7 prints once matted. They aren't the highest quality but they're also $20 for 4 so at $5 a piece, they're a steal. I'll be picking up more.

Not what I wanted
Some time ago I bought a 4-pack of 8x8 frames at my local Michaels store; they were wall frames with sawtooth hangers. They served my purpose perfectly (I frame my photos for local craft shows). The next time I bought a pack of 8x8 frames I discovered when I went to use them some time later that they were not the wall frames I wanted but tabletop frames. I also found that if I used them to frame a bordered photo without a mat, the photo's border showed. (I had used the other wall 8x8s to frame both matted and unmatted photos with success.) When I checked the local Michaels again I found only the tabletop frames, so I placed an order online for these frames described as wall frames. However, these are NOT the wall frames I thought I was getting. These are tabletop frames just like those I bought by accident thinking I was getting the wall frames. There are little loops so one could hang them on a wall, I suppose, but as I noted, my unmatted photos don't fit well, and besides, I find the easel back heavy and cumbersome when the frame is used on the wall. If you want a tabletop frame and don't plan to use it for a bordered photo, these probably would be fine, but they aren't what I wanted.
