It’s a frame
I use them as a display case for stickers, they work fine but need a separate stand and are vulnerable to strong wind knocking them over. That said, I haven’t found a better alternative for displaying paper products at a reasonable price.

I have a strangely shaped washcloth that I fit in this frame. (I had the Michael's framing department dry-mount it), and then put it against a piece of water-colored 12 by 12 pretty paper. It looks just GREAT!
