backpack tags

This project is intended for kids age 6+. These fun shapes transform into cute backpack dangles that are easy to make! Make several and trade them with your friends!

Print Project

Step 1

Click here to download and print the template. Cut out the shapes.

Step 2

Choose the foam sheets you want to use, then trace the shapes onto the back. Trace the largest pattern onto white foam so you have a stable base. Cut out all the pieces.

Step 3

Layer the shapes and stick them together by removing the paper backing.
TIP: Use the largest shape without adhesive on the back as your base and build them up from there. To make the popsicle, place a craft stick between the base layer of foam and the top layer of foam.

Step 4

Decorate your backpack tag using sequins, markers and even more of the adhesive foam. Let the glue dry.

Step 5
ADULT: Punch a hole and the top and insert the clip through the hole.
