Step 1

On a piece of the YUPO® paper, use the alcohol inks and blending solution to create a background.
TIP: Here are two techniques you can do to create your alcohol ink background:
- Add the blending solution to the paper first, then add some ink and swirl it around by tilting the paper.
- Or move the ink using a hair dryer (or blowing through a straw).

Step 2

Now, if desired, add ink or blending solution to an applicator tool and touch it to the in on your paper to further alter the look. When you are happy with your background, let it dry completely.

Step 3

Use the paper trimmer to cut your bookmarks to size.

Step 4

Make tassels from the floss. To make the tassel:
- Slide the paper sleeve off the floss, keeping the loops in tact. Fold in half, then cut in half so you have the beginning of two tassels.
- Pull two pieces of floss from your tassels. Take one and insert in through the loops, under the fold. Take the other one and wrap it around the top of the tassel several times, just below the fold. Tie the floss in a double knot in the back and trim.

Step 5

Punch a small hole in the top, middle of each bookmark, then thread the tassel through the hole and tie in a knot.
