Step 1 |
First, line your plastic tray with foil then place a cooling rack in tray. |
Step 2 |
Place various wood shapes on top of the cooling rack. |
Step 3 |
Now, layer pre-mixed pouring paint into a disposable cup. |
Step 4 |
Pour layered paint over wood shapes. |
Step 5 |
Pick up the tray and tilt it in different directions to move the paint over the wood shapes until you get the desired look. Set aside to dry. |
Step 6 |
Use a steel hole punch to add a hole to the wood pieces. |
Step 7 |
Add a bead link to elevate the earring style! Thread a bead onto an eye pin, bend the wire to a 90° angle just above the bead. Trim wire to 3/8"-½" [0.9 cm - 1.2 cm] from the bend. Grasp the end of the eye pin wire between the jaws of a pair of round nose pliers. Rotate the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire until a small loop is formed. |
Step 8 |
Add fishhook ear wires to the shapes. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
