Not well made - instructions to put together - DIS
The instructions, if one could call them that, to put stand together are pitiful ... the wingnuts are subpar ... had to buy other hardware to make stand functional ... can see why it was 50% clearance priced ... if I would have paid full price, would have returned.

Good stand for cross stitching
I needed a floor stand for cross stitching and found this stand at Michael's. The wood is smooth and the stand is adjustable to many positions. My only negative comment is that I don't like the wing nuts and wish it included 4 more knobs instead of wing nuts

Portable craft stand
It’s practical and handy . It holds your crafting hoop in place to free up your hands while you’re working on your project. I deducted 1 star for the poor assembly instructions that came with it & the parts not being labeled.

As Expected
It's as I expected. The wood is rough an a little scratchy, I wrapped parts of mine. Easily assembled, just need a little bit of space. It's a little wobbly, fixed with felt stickies on the bottom. Can't really use a huge hoop, but it did hold the corner of a square 11"x11" fine. I can sit on the couch an embroider without hurting my neck, that's all I really needed.

You’re going to need to modify it.
I got this stand at 40% off after reading reviews indicating that it’s wobbly and the wing nuts don’t hold well. I suspected I would need to modify it for it to work. The reviews were accurate.
I added washers to both sides of each bolt and made a new base for the whole unit replacing the entire base to be wider and sturdier to reduce the wobble. If you happen to have wood working skills and don’t mind that you’ll need to make significant modifications it might be worth it. The assembly instructions are a mess. I just followed the pictures. Wasn’t that bad to assemble. The product could be significantly improved with including washers, better quality wing nuts and plastic knob wing nuts for the clamp. The wood quality is decent if not well finished.
You’ll need a saw, wood and a drill to modify it as I did. I used materials I already had, so I don’t have cost estimates for the modifications. Easy modifications but disappointing that they are necessary. ONLY purchase this at significant discount AND know you *will* need to modify it.
