Canvases have an unpleasant odor
The painting I painted the n the canvas came out beautiful. The canvas is easy to paint on, but had an unpleasant odor like ammonia.
I ordered 3 packages. The odor in the first package was unbearable, I couldn’t use them. The odor in the 2nd package was bearable. I’ve yet to open the last package.
I’ve always bought the white canvases and never encountered this problem.

A smooth, tight canvas for oil/acrylic painting
Including studies and sketches I go through canvases like a house afire...to the tune of 200-300/yr.! For an economy option, I find these to be an excellent choice. The canvas is taught and the primer is smooth. It's not double, lead-primed linen but...it is a fine substrate nonetheless. I recommend. I will buy more!
