Needles are good for the price, for a beginner.

These needles work really well but will bend. A beginner might do better with either wood or plastic until you get the hang of knitting but these are good. Yarn glides easily and they are light weight so no fatigue.

Aluminum Knitting needles
I purchased this product for my 84 year old mother. She found it difficult to knit with these needles. Maybe too smooth of a finish on the needles. I ended up returning them.
