Flimsy material for the box and missing items.
This would be great for a beginner I'm sure but I'm giving 2 stars because I paid way to much for what it is. Flimsy box made of cardboard it seems, I got a balsa wood one made better than this. If they sold refills for it I wouldn't have bought a new one. It's missing things such as the drawing pad and 5 of the colored pencils. As much as this costs I honestly expected more.

Good only if you find it on super sale
I bought this during Christmas 2018. I got a HUGE discount on it. It was on sale and if you bought online and picked up at the store you got another discount including sales items. So I paid between $12 to $15 for it. Like I said it was HUGE. Is worth the retail price? Absolutely not. Not even close. I wouldn't pay more then $20 for this set. The materials are just so so. Christmas 2019 I hadn't used it, still un opened. I gave it to my nephew for Christmas. He liked it a lot and started using it right away. The set up is cool but the products... well lets just say Crayola products are better. In fact I would pay more if they were Crayola.
Keep an eye out for it during the holidays hou might luck ul and get a fabulous deal.

Great design
The kit is a great design but it had been sitting to long on the shelf because all of the markers were dried up and didn't work.
