I wanted to get back to painting after falling out of it for a long while. I remember how much I like working with oil paints, which this set does not include, so this set was a perfect option. I absolutely love how portable it is. I would definitely recommend purchasing extra brushes, art pads, and a better quality palette. The set does not include a vessel for water to use with the watercolors, but it was pretty easy for me to find a small jar to use, so it wasn't really an issue. TL;DR: Had low expectations. Am very pleased.

Giving my nephew other options in creating his art. That way if he likes something more than color pencils and paper , we know what he might be interested in.
