It should come with more instructions and descriptions for use and care of each item in the kit but otherwise it is great to get this on sale if you are starting to paint as a hobby because it comes with bare essentials and you can add on base don your preferences as you learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Way to Sample Media I bought this set mostly to be able to sample several different media to determine which ones I like working with best. I wanted to get back to painting after falling out of it for a long while. I remember how much I like working with oil paints, which this set does not include, so this set was a perfect option. I absolutely love how portable it is. I would definitely recommend purchasing extra brushes, art pads, and a better quality palette. The set does not include a vessel for water to use with the watercolors, but it was pretty easy for me to find a small jar to use, so it wasn't really an issue. TL;DR: Had low expectations. Am very pleased.
