Instructions

Step 1
Pre-wash T-shirt to remove sizing; do not use fabric softener.

Step 2
Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth and lay damp shirt on prepared work surface. Scrunch fabric to crumple shirt.

Step 3
Wearing gloves from dye box, add water to Fuchsia dye bottle, replace cap and shake until dye is thoroughly mixed.

Step 4
Squeeze Fuchsia dye onto shirt. Carefully lift part of shirt to check the back side and, if dye hasn't soaked through, carefully flip shirt over, keeping shirt crumpled, and add dye to the back.

Step 5
Cover dyed shirt with plastic tablecloth to keep damp and let set six to eight hours or longer for the most intense colours. Rinse thoroughly in warm running water until runoff is clear, then wash separately in a large load of hottest water suitable for shirt and a small amount of laundry soap. Dry separately.

Step 6
Lay dry shirt flat on a clean work surface and place cardboard insert between layers of fabric.

Step 7
Flip pattern over and trace over lines with chalk pencil. Place chalk side down on T-shirt and rub hands over pattern to transfer designs in chalk onto shirt. Refer to photo for design placement.

Step 8
Squeeze a puddle of glitter bond on palette and use wedge sponge to dab adhesive into the circle on shirt. Immediately sprinkle a light coat of gold glitter into adhesive and shake off excess. Let dry.

Step 9
Use Gray Glow paint to create a web around spider as shown, using chalk pencil first to draw in if desired. Let dry.

Step 10
Outline spider body with Silver Glitter 3D Fashion Paint. Let dry.

Step 11
Create legs with Purple Slick paint, then while wet, sprinkle purple glitter over legs. Let dry and shake off excess glitter.

Step 12
Create eyes with White Slick and a dot of Black Slick in the middle. Add mouth and eyebrows with Black Slick. Let dry completely.

Tips

Keeping shirt damp while dye sets allows dye to better saturate fabric for a more vibrant finish.
